Donations & Gifts

Rehabilitative Resources Inc. supports the welfare of people with developmental, physical, psychological, and related disabilities. Your gift to RRI provides critical support for much needed programs, while offering significant tax advantages to you and your heirs. As a donor to RRI, you become part of the legacy of caring and support that has improved the lives of thousands of individuals.

Gifts to RRI can be made in different ways, depending on your circumstances and charitable goals. Gifts may be made in your own name, or may be established, as lifetime memorials to loved ones, carrying their names in perpetuity. Consult your lawyer or financial advisor as you make your plans, and please feel free to call RRI at any time.

Gifts of Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities may be deducted at full market value on the date of the transfer to RRI. You will not be subject to tax on the appreciated value of the securities unless you are subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax.

Gifts of Real Estate and other Tangible Property
A gift of real estate or other capital assets (stock in closely-held companies, oil or mineral rights, works of art, jewelry, books, and so forth) can be sold for the immediate benefit of the RRI or, in certain circumstances, given to RRI for future sale. Although the responsibility for appraisal rests with the donor, that expense is tax deductible if you itemize.
