The Rehabilitative Resources, Inc. Adult Foster Care (AFC)
program focuses on providing people who can no longer live alone
at home safely with the supports needed to stay in their
communities. Who Can Qualify for the AFC Program:
- Disabled adults (over the age of 16) and seniors who are
eligible for MassHealth.
- Applicants must need assistance with one or more
activities of daily living such a bathing, dressing, eating,
toileting, and ambulation.
- Must need 24 hour care and supervision.
AFC Caregivers Guidelines:
- Caregivers can be family or non-family members.
- Caregivers cannot be legally responsible for the
participant.
- Caregivers agree to provide 24/7 personal care and
supervision and comply with all established MassHealth
guidelines.
Caregivers will receive respite care, training and support as
well as a tax-free annual stipend.
